Words Shape Our Worlds
‘Words
Shape Our Worlds’
Words, cruel
words make
my world, a cruel world.
Their words spewing out of their
mouths as if they know no bounds.
Their words making a halo around my head
as if they know no one else like me.
Psychopath.
'Cause I crossed a line and stood for
myself when I was manipulated.
Liar.
'Cause I disrespected all of them when
I told my truth from my own mouth.
Mad Woman.
'Cause I couldn't please them and let them
take advantage of my brittle heart.
Delusional.
'Cause I remembered too many details
of their haunted crimes.
Abuser.
'Cause they were the hunters who loved to pretend to be the prey.
Bitch.
'Cause I moved on without a closure
from all the vultures who tore me open.
Fake.
'Cause I have stitched together souls of
everyone who once made me bleed.
Cunning.
'Cause I saw their venom lurking on
the edges of their sugar coated words.
Words, cruel words make
my world, a cruel world.
They write their words down on a paper,
as if they are crowns worn by a winner.
Their words do more harm than good,
like a blade cutting through the wood.
Their mouth spill lies in the glass of wine,
their hands fill denials in the gaps between lines.
Words, cruel words make
my world, a cruel world.
Thousand cuts on my soul,
numbness all over my body.
Pitch dark in my psyche,
silence in the back of my throat.
Words, cruel words make
my world, a cruel world.

I don't think the readers need any sort of context, it's all crystal clear.
