Nineteen

Warm greetings to all the readers of this blog. I hope all of you are taking precautions and are safe at your homes.

Today's poem is about 'Nineteen' meaning, being Nineteen years old. I am nineteen and there are so many of my friends who are nineteen as well. This is an ode to our last year as a teen adult. I wrote this poem in 6 minutes and it was an amazing feeling to have with some music obvs.

But now it's all yours to cherish so go ahead, and read it.

Nineteen

I'm nineteen,
I know the world a little too much
and a little too less,
all at once.

I'm nineteen,
I can make mistakes
and break stereotypes,
all in one breath.

I'm nineteen,
I can write my life from the beginning
or I can erase and rewrite it too,
all in one go.

I'm nineteen
I can act like a kid
and can be treated like an adult,
all in one moment of time.

I'm nineteen,
I can cry watching animated movies
and I can take in all the pain life throws at me, all in one frame.

I'm nineteen,
I can have stupid crushes on stupid boys
and I can dream about my whole life with the one, all in one day.

I'm nineteen
and it's a battle of now or never,
all in one lifetime.

I'm nineteen.
Nineteen and naive,
nineteen and wise.
