Empathy [Updated]

Warm greetings to everyone here! Today's piece is something I wrote a while ago, and I am so proud of how it has come to life.

P.S- I have updated this poem and this one is actually amazing this time.

I call this one, 'Empathy'. There's no as such context to this one, it's just that sometimes I am able to understand people's pain more profoundly, and I find myself crying for them even if these people are fictional or otherwise real. I am sure I am not the only one here *winks*.

Go ahead, read it, let me know if you have anything to say about it 🕊

Empathy

During the darkest nights I found myself weeping for
the ones silently tearing up in their bedrooms.

During the greyest storms I found myself caring for
the ones who have lost their loved ones and have walked through hell.

When my skies turned deep blue I found my tender spots for
the ones who have been suppressing their cries.

When my life fell apart I found myself lending my heart
to the ones who were heartbroken.

This is the same world where,
hate and empathy cost nothing.

What do you want to give out?
Who do you want to be?
