The country is in shambles, my people are suffering, who's to be blamed for the
misery upon the lakhs and crores of us?
the pain I feel for the one's who are dying and for the ones who are gasping
for their last breath makes me realise, how for granted I have taken all the
little things in my life.
the smile on my mother's face,
as she hums her favourite songs from the 90s // the sweat on my father's brow
as he brings home gifts for all us three monkeys// the tears of my sister as
she sobs for that last bite of her favourite cookies// and the kisses of my
brother which I beg for, all the day// the warm sip of my morning tea// all the
three meals I can eat// the four walls I can seek for protection while the
mischievous virus takes away the lives of many// the air I can breathe without
begging for any ounce of it// and the water I can swallow without my throat
feeling like a battlefield//
The country is in shambles and my people are dying, I don't know how to help or
ease the pain everyone who lost their loved ones feel, but I know the pain will
go away one day and the one's suffering won't have to suffer for too long.
Forever the blue skies,
