Warm greetings peeps! Women's day is now just one day ahead of us. So I thought I should post this poem I wrote a while ago.

It's about us, women. We should celebrate ourselves and our friendship with our own community. Right, ladies?

While I think there is no need for 'one' day to celebrate the women in our lives, 'cause women should be celebrated every single day of our lives, I'll still grab this opportunity for celebrating us, women and our womanhood. Anyway, here is the poem for all my women friends.

Us, Women

To the girl friends
I left on my way
to become the woman I am today,
this is for you.

I loved the times we spent
by each other's side.
It makes me proud how
we still were able to plant the flower of our love on
the ground which was supposed to be our glorious battlefield.

To the women I never talked to,
know that I will always have your back,
I will always stand by you
for the world is a cruel place for women like you and me.
I will give you my voice when
your words slip beyond your reaches.

To all the women who tore me apart,
prompted by the society we live in.
Know that I still stand tall for me and you.
Know that I do not hate you or envy you,
for what you did was something you
were taught to not you willed to.
Know that all I wish for you is nothing but
love, health & empowerment.
Know that I still stand by you and for you.

To all my dear girl friends,
You are the ones still by my side,
and you don't know what you mean to me.
Our friendship is what empowers me,
and helps me embrace my womanhood
with so much warmth & tenderness.

I love all the women
who are on the battlefield,
creating the garden we expected to be born in.
