Women and The Masters of Their World
Women
and The Masters of Their World
A woman has been caught
not once but twice
escaping the cage she was imprisoned in.
How dare she?
Women do not get to choose
between life or death.
The God of the cage was a man,
the master of the cage was the man.
Oh, how dare she leave the grasp
of the man who only aimed to cut off her wings?
At least, he wasn't taking her life away from her but her reason to live
one.
Women do not get to choose
between being daring or coward.
What a coward she was to fly away for the sake of her wings,
rather to be grateful to the man who kept
her while she flew aimlessly
deep in the forest
bathing in the cascade of her freedom.
Women do not get to choose
between freedom or captivity.
No matter what a man does,
a woman must take all the bullets
he aims at her.
A woman in a cage must learn,
to please her master so
he protects her heart.
Women do not get to choose
between love or the idea of love.
Women in cages go to lengths
to satisfy their masters,
but some women disappoint them,
and they need to be punished for this sin
till their eyes leak acid rains,
on the pillows they once slept peacefully.
Women do not get to choose
between her choice or her lover's.
A woman is meant to be a slave to
the man who captivates her heart
into believing that she deserves
to live inside
his cage for the rest of her life.
The man promises to keep her safe
by his side in her sickness & death.
Women do not get to choose
between safety or slavery.
