We Shall All Become One

Hello to the readers of this blog and a special hello to the ones who have subscribed to it (yes, I am a little biased). I hope everyone is safe and healthy. Today, I'll share with you a poem I wrote after being extremely inspired by Rupi Kaur. The best things about this poem are-
1. It is perfectly rhymed
2. It is my tiny baby.

Not going to take more of your time, but encourage you to go ahead and read this one!

Oh! A little context-
Motivated by the current situations we are living in. That's it, that's the context.

We Shall All Become One

I don't like the violence,
the power that pushes a community to choose silence.

My heart bleeds for the lost lives of my brothers and sisters,
My blood boils when I see someone justifying the one misusing his powers.

You can't reason hate,
you can only recognise it's bait.

I wish I could swallow all the sadness and hurt of my people in one gulp,
I wish I could protect them from this hell and clear their way to heaven all the way up.

I don't want any of my people on this planet to bleed and kill,
I only want the persistence and triumph of goodwill.

The world is a nasty place,
the rulers are it's ace.
We can't win,
unless we all become one.
