Warm greetings to everyone on the blog, once again! Here, I share some poetry and some fries (you can munch on them while reading my blog, just saying). I am loving how constant I have become with writing & posting here. Anyway, let's move on.
Context-
Today's piece is going to be about 'breathing'. I started my daily writing prompt with it, a few days ago and I was impressed with the results. I had to make many corrections to shape it into what it's become before posting on the blog. So, I tried to build this concept of anxiety first, and then slowly after many corrections, I successfully added one more theme to it- feminity. It's about how a woman can go on almost all her life hearing a phrase like- "You will never be able to do it" by her father or any other man in her life and how it feels to be mansplained about every little thing you do.
Basically, I don't know if you will be able to love it or not. But let's just find that out. Shall we?
Go ahead, read this piece. It's all yours now.

Breathing is
like a swift river,
so serene and calm
until the thunderstorm struck.
Just like
having someone tell you,
"You'll never be able to do this."
And, your head becomes
a pit of thoughts,
slowly murmuring to you,
that they are right,
"You can't do it."
Just like the clouds,
slowly echoing to what the,
storm is telling the river,
through his incessant chatter,
that she can't get through the storm alive.
Your breathing becomes,
reckless,
almost hard to catch,
just like the swift river
who gains the weight of the storm,
to be angry at it,
for dumping his wasted words into her ears,
trying to hinder it's flow.
