Dead Hush Love
While writing this one, I wanted to put into words the lack of a partner. So, the first time when I thought of ending this piece, I wrote "one of them is dead". However, I did not want to be so specific. I wanted the reader to find out or relate to the last line according to her/his own perception of the piece or life, in general. It could be death, it could be the emotional unavailability of the other, it could be a mental illness because of which the other can no longer be available for the person, it could be literally anything.
Go ahead and read this piece and Let me know if you have anything to say about this one 🤎
“You want coffee?”
Silence.
“I brought you,
your favorite food”
Silence.
“Hey, how was your
day?”
Silence.
“Do you want to go out?”
Silence.
“I don’t think you love me anymore.”
Once Again, Silence.
When silence is etched between two people,
Their love,
which once was like a dense garden for them,
turns into a withered flower.
Their eyes,
That once looked into the other pair with admiration,
become soulless.
Their souls,
Who once were so entangled that it was impossible
to focus on one without the interruption of the other,
become so detached that it’s nearly impossible
to even find their strands together.
At that point in life, you realize, that one of them
is actually no longer there.
